Is Privdnote really private and secure?
Yes. Privdnote is designed to be both private and secure. Notes are delivered through unique encrypted links and can only be read once. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details on how we protect your data.
How do I send a note? Can I send the link directly from Privdnote?
Once you write your note on Privdnote, the system generates a unique link. You copy and paste this link into an email, chat, or messaging app and send it to your recipient. Currently, Privdnote does not send the link directly from the site.
Can I send a Privdnote to multiple people?
If you want multiple recipients to view the same message, use the "Show options" menu to set a timed expiration. This way, the note remains active for the set duration and can be opened multiple times until the timer runs out. Once that period ends, the note is permanently deleted.
What if I send the note to the wrong person or regret sending it?
You can make the note self-destruct immediately by opening the link yourself in your browser. Once you have viewed it, the note is destroyed. Anyone else who tries to open the same link will see a message that the note has already been read.
Can I get notified when the note is read?
Yes. You can enable notifications before creating your note. Simply check the notification option and provide your email address. Privdnote will send you a confirmation when the note has been read. You can also add a personal reference to track each note.
If the recipient copies the note, does it still self-destruct?
Yes, the original note still self-destructs after being read. However, recipients can copy, screenshot, or save the text if they choose to. Privdnote ensures that the message is private during delivery and cannot be accessed again after viewing, but what the recipient does with the information is their responsibility.
Can someone recover a note using browser history or the back button?
No. Once a note is read, it is permanently deleted from our system. It cannot be viewed again through browser history, the back button, or recently closed tabs.
How long are unread notes stored on Privdnote servers?
Unread notes are automatically deleted after 30 days. For more details on how we handle and protect data, please read our Privacy Policy.
